• Maria Loor starts her career in advertising at JWT in 1987.

• She studied design at IDI (Institute of Design-ECU) and painting with Xavier Patiño.

• She graduated with honors at The Rhode Island School of Design (US) and obtained and Award for her Degree Project
—a series of posters inspired in the work of Gabriel Garcia Marquez.

• She worked in New York with Roger van den Bergh (today Onoma Design) participating in the creation of several Corporate Identity Manuals such as MTA (Metropolitan Transportation Authority) and the Bellsouth Identity Program for the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta.

• In 1996 she started her own design firm in Guayaquil, marialoordg, which specialized in Corporate Identity and Packaging.

• She created the curriculum for the Design Department of Casa Grande University teaching several subjects and was responsible for organizing the first Design Faculty Exhibition.

• Her work has been Published in: The Rhode Island School of Design Catalogue (EUA), “Diseño Ecuador” by Trama (ECU), Papagayo Design Magazine (ECU), Gallery 2002 of Graphic Design by Inforbooks (ESP);Latin American Graphic Design by Trama (ECU) 2006 and recently by TASCHEN latest publication "Latin American Graphic Design— the best latin designers from yesterday and today".

• She has exhibited in the United States, Europe and South America, individually as well as in group with her designs and fine art pieces and her work is in private collections around the world.

• She recenlty received and AIGA award-Miami chapter, for the logo "Ecopartner" that she deigned for Original Impressions' green efforts, company where she is a designer at the Creative Division.
